More about noise reduction and noise encapsulation
Wall absorbers, ceiling absorbers and suspended baffles are effective solutions to acoustic problems in existing rooms and in places where it is not possible to attenuate the noise source itself by e.g. encapsulation. The acoustic properties of absorbers are best utilized when they are spaced and distributed on the walls and ceiling to dampen sound reflections in the three main directions of the room.
Norisol's acoustic experts take reverberation measurements and dimension the extent and type of noise control measures so that they meet current requirements and so that the reverberation time complies with the Danish Working Environment Authority's guidelines. Acoustic control of a room is not in itself a noise reduction, but control will often lower the overall noise level by 3-5 dBA. This happens because the emitted noise is absorbed by the amount of absorption provided. Absorbers and baffles are manufactured in different sizes and with surfaces that are relevant to the conditions and can be used as a decorative part of the room's interior design. In workshops and production rooms, it is often sharp and percussive sounds that are significantly reduced after installing sound insulation.
Foil-encapsulated sound absorbers can be used in the food industry and in rooms that need to be flushed and cleaned or where there is moisture for other reasons. Where it can be difficult to hang baffles from the ceiling due to machinery and the like, we have developed a special wire system that allows us to pull the baffles out so that they are evenly distributed over the entire ceiling surface. In many childcare centers, noise is a major problem. Norisol's sound experts can't make children be quieter, but it is a fact that good acoustics improve speech intelligibility. Experience shows that when it is easier to be heard and understood, children lower their voices.
