Ørslev Transfer Station, close to Vordingborg, is responsible for transferring district heating from the transmission line to the distribution network at the right pressure and temperature. From the distribution network, district heating is transferred to homes in the Vordingborg area.

The pipes at the transfer station needed to be insulated and 2 insulation companies had been on the job, but Norisol was called in by utility company Verdo to complete the insulation project.

We installed 2 layers of insulation and finished with aluminum cladding around the district heating pipes, and valves and pumps were fitted with insulation pads. The work continued throughout the summer of 2023 and we finished our energy-saving, CO2-friendly project at the end of July.

Verdo is pleasantly surprised by the professional collaboration with Norisol - that we were able to step in so quickly and complete the task without problems. This has now triggered 3 new, exciting work projects from Verdo, including technical insulation at Vordingborg District Heating.
