Not everyone is on Christmas vacation these days.

On December 19, P/F Smyril Line's large ferry Norröna arrived at the FAYARD A/S shipyard in Munkebo. And here Norisol is in full swing with the work.

The 17-year-old ferry, which operates scheduled services between Denmark and the Faroe Islands, will undergo a major refurbishment and modernization, including 50 extra cabins and a new Skybar to enjoy the beautiful trip across the Atlantic.

Norisol has been involved in the design phase throughout 2020 and now we are finally underway with the work, which will run until March 4 before the ferry returns to the schedule on March 6. In total, the renovation will employ approximately 300 people at the shipyard over the next three months, with Norisol responsible for the assembly and delivery of cabins and Skybar.

During the last days of 2020, we'll be working on access work on the ferry to get ready for some busy months in the new year.
