Best possible utilization of heat

Insulation of, among other things, 2 km of main pipes and 400 m of connection pipes for a new solar heating and biomass plant in Brønderslev.

Norisol produced 1400 stainless steel bends for this project.

Custom-made pipe bowls and insulation pads specially manufactured at Norisol's plate and pad workshop were used.

Main pipes
In connection with the construction of a 16.6 MWt solar thermal and biomass plant in Brønderslev 2016, Norisol was responsible for insulating the pipes through which the heat transmission fluid runs. The right insulation ensures that the internal temperature of 312˚C is maintained so that the heat can be utilized in the best possible way for electricity and heat.

Technical room
Heat is transferred from the solar thermal system to the heat exchanger/ORC system, and here too the right amount of insulation is needed to reduce waste heat. The complex pipe system requires a lot of customization and the insulation consists of a mixture of pipe shells and insulation pads.

In addition to insulation, Norisol also supplied various stainless steel solutions for the project. Above are two different bends out of 1400 delivered, in 4 different sizes. The bends have been produced/forged in the sheet metal workshop in Frederikshavn and installed by Norisol's installers.
